Rawlings Will Be Given Befitting State Burial - Akufo-Addo
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo says the government will give a befitting funeral to the late former president Jerry John Rawlings. President Akufo Addo made this known in a statement to commiserate with the family of Mr. Rawlings’ President Akufo Addo said the government will work closely with family on it.
“Government will work closely with the family of President Rawlings on the arrangements for a fitting State Funeral for the late President, and will keep the nation informed accordingly.” Meanwhile, President Nana Akufo Addo and Vice President Bawumia have suspended all campaign activities following the demise
of former president Jerry John Rawlings. “In honour of the memory of the former president Rawlings, together the Vice President and I have suspended all our political campaigns” for the next seven days, President Akufo Addo announced in a statement. President Akufo Addo declared seven days of mourning for the late former President. He also announced that flags should fly at half-mast beginning Friday, November 13, 2020.
