My Life Was Saved By TB Joshua - Ayitey Powers

Ghanaian boxer and promoter, Michael Nii Ayitey Okine, widely known as Ayittey Powers, has revealed that the late Nigerian preacher, Prophet TB Joshua saved his life. Speaking on The Real Talk Podcast hosted by Elizabeth Essuman, Ayittey Powers shared how close he was to death before his encounter with the late prophet. TB Joshua saved my life, else I won’t be alive, he said.

The veteran boxer, who has fought 48 professional bouts in the light heavyweight division, credited TB Joshua for turning his life around. Many people who have not encountered the late prophet will never understand me, and that’s okay. In one week of my attending his church in Nigeria, my life turned around, it was like an angel physically was sent to me here on Earth, he added.

According to him, his gratitude runs so deep that he named one of his children “Joshua” in honour of the prophet. One of my children is called, ‘Joshua’, and that is in respect to the late prophet for giving my life a meaning when all hope was lost, he said. Despite TB Joshua’s passing, Ayittey Powers says he will continue to celebrate the man he believes gave his life meaning. He also shared a personal lesson, crediting a woman for helping him understand his purpose in life. He advised men to prioritize good character when choosing a partner.
