15 Year Old Boy Drowns In Zabzugu Dam

Abukari, a 15 year old boy has been confirmed dead after drowning in the Zabzugu Dam. His body was recovered Sunday, July 20, following an extensive search operation. According to reports, the incident occurred on Saturday, July 19, while Abukari was returning from the farm with his mother. Upon reaching the dam site, the mother reportedly asked him to fetch her some water to drink.

However, in an unexpected turn, the boy decided to dive into the dam. Unfortunately, he drowned in the process, and his body could not be found immediately. A two-day intensive search was launched, with the help of fishermen brought in from neighbouring communities. Their efforts eventually paid off when the body was discovered late Sunday evening.
