3 Armed robbers terrorizing Ashaiman residents arrested
Three armed robbers belonging to a larger gang of armed robbers who broke into a house in the Washington area of Ashaiman and made away with some household items have been arrested by the personnel of the Ghana Police Service.
The robbers, Ibrahim Adams, 23, and Emmanuel Haddy, 38, and Richard Reynin, 30, together with their colleagues broke into the house of one James Teye Serwonu in Washington area and at gunpoint took a TV set, a Dell laptop, 3 mobile phones, a lady’s handbag and GHc 1400.00.
According to the Zenu Atadeka District Police Command who confirmed the incident, police officers on patrol received a distress call from the victim and were on alert whereupon suspect Ibrahim Adams was spotted. As he took to his heels, police pursued him and duly arrested him.
He led the police to his house, leading to the arrest of the rest of the robbers and the discovery of more stolen items. Some of which have been given back to the victims. Meanwhile their accomplices are on the run even as frantic efforts are being made to arrest them.
