C/R: Three Persons Die In Accident At Dunkwa Ayamfuti
Three persons aged between 25 and 35 years have met their untimely death in a gory accident at the Dunkwa Ayamfuti, a mining community in Upper Denkyira West District of the Central Region. Assemblymember for the Area, Mr Kwabena Enin Castro also explained that the
incident occurred early Tuesday, June 8, 2021, around 10 am between the Dunkwa Ayamfuri Cemetery and a Fuel Station Opposite the Cemetery and explaining the cause of the accident he said, A mining truck belonging to the Awaso Bauxite en route from Takoradi run over a
private vehicle with three 3 miners onboard and killed them all instantly. The deceased whose names were all given as Akwasi Bacha who was the driver, King Medals and Frank working at the Rock Sure a subcontractor for Perseus mining all died on the spot whilst on their way
to work. They believe that the accident was a result of reckless driving but yet to be confirmed by the Police. Their remains have also been sent to Dunkwa On-Offin Mortuary for autopsy and preservation whilst the Police have arrested the driver of the truck to assist them with their investigations.
