Final Funeral Rites In Honour Of Late Nii Adjei Kraku II Held
The final funeral rites for the late Tema Mantse, Nii Adjei Kraku, has been held at Tema Newtown Mini Stadium. Nii Adjei Kraku passed on in 2020 and as a Muslim, he was buried in the Islamic tradition. Area with the support of the Koklotse We family held a befitting Traditional final funeral rites in honour of the late Chief of Tema Traditional Area. Chiefs under the Tema Traditional Council, as well as Kpone and other Traditional Councils under the Greater Accra Regional House of Chiefs, graced the occasion and performed
their respective rites in honour of late Tema Paramount Chief. The late Nii Adjei Kraku, during his reign, chalked up a lot of successes including restoring the status of Tema to a paramountcy. He was also instrumental in the official inauguration of the Tema Traditional Council which was performed by the Ministry of Chieftaincy and
Traditional Affairs. His leadership skills also contributed immensely to growth of Tema from a small community to an industrialized cosmopolitan, bringing a lot of development to Tema. A tribute by GBC-Obonu FM to honor the late Paramount Chief of Tema acknowledged his contribution towards addressing the challenges that
confronted Obonu FM’s establishment in Tema. He also helped to make the station viable and a shining star of the entire Ga-Damgme Land. The late Nii Adjei Kraku was described by many including the Tema Development Corporation (TDC) as a great ruler by all standards in his time in a tribute read in his honour. TDC also described
the late Tema Mantse whose passion for sport led to the construction of an Ultra modern stadium at the Tema Newtown. The Greater Accra Regional House of Chiefs in their tribute to the late Tema Mantse said that Nii Tema as also popularly called played a very important role in resolving chieftaincy cases at meetings and also through it’s Judicial Committee.
