Greater Accra Minister Leads Donation To Flood, Fire Victims In Madina And Adenta
In the aftermath of the devastating fire at Madina–Ritz Junction on July 16, 2025, the Greater Accra Regional Minister, Linda Ocloo, has led a high-powered delegation to assess the impact and extend relief to affected households

The team included Madina MP, Lawyer Francis-Xavier Sosu, NADMO Director General Major (Rtd) Dr. Joseph Bikanyi Kuyon, Greater Accra NADMO Director Dennis Adjannor Nartey, the Municipal Chief Executive(MCE) and NADMO officials from both La-Nkwantanang and the national office. During the visit, emergency supplies and food items were distributed to 105 households whose homes and belongings were destroyed in the fire.
The delegation’s presence brought comfort to the victims, many of whom have been left struggling to rebuild their lives. In addition to the fire response, the Minister and NADMO also made cash donations on behalf of President John Dramani Mahama to families affected by the May 18 floods.
That incident tragically claimed five lives, three in the Adenta Municipality and two in the Abokobi area of the Ga East Municipality. Madam Ocloo commended the Madina MP, the MCE and the NADMO teams for their swift coordination in responding to both disasters. She reaffirmed government’s commitment to supporting disaster-hit communities and strengthening preparedness measures to protect lives and livelihoods. NADMO assured the public that it remains resolute in working closely with local authorities to enhance community resilience and ensure a timely and effective disaster response across the region.
