Kumasi Roads Will Be Completed By 2020 — Simon Osei-Mensah
The Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei-Mensah has said all is set for the rehabilitation of deplorable roads in Kumasi and other parts of the Ashanti Region.
According to him, he was aware that the residents of Kumasi were not pleased with the terrible road networks in the city and were eager to see the roads constructed,” Simon Osei-Mensah told Kwame Tutu on ‘Anopa Nkomo’ on Accra based Kingdom FM 107.7
He said he has good plans for the people of Kumasi and for that matter Asanteman, disclosing that there were numerous projects in the pipeline for the Ashanti Region.
He stated that he would make sure all the bad roads were given a facelift to help in the movement of people and goods.
The Kumasi Ring Road Project is also included to give the roads a facelift and ensure free flow of vehicles and also ease traffic congestion.
He said, all the necessary steps had been taken for works to commence on the poor road networks in Kumasi so the people should be a bit patient.
The move by the Akufo-Addo administration which is widely seen as a fulfillment of one of its campaign promises to the region will bring relief to motorists and residents in the Ashanti Region especially those in the Kumasi Metropolis where bad roads in the city has become a topical issue on the air waves.
