Mankesim: Five Persons Injured, Several Shops Destroyed As Truck Somersaults

Five persons have sustained injuries and several shops destroyed after an articulated truck loaded with wood somersaulted at Mankessim in the Central Region on on the Saturday. The affected people were traders who sell along the roadside. The 40 footer truck with registration number AW 8877 - 11 is said to have burst two 2 of its

tyres and as the driver tried to stabilize the vehicle, the truck fell on its side. In the process, five persons were injured and several shops and items worth thousands of cedis were destroyed too. The injured persons were rushed to Mankessim Roman Hospital for treatment. Mankessim Police have commenced investigation into the accident. No arrest has also been made yet.
