NDC PC Charged Over Alleged Plot To Kill Gender Minister

 

 

The Police have charged the opposition NDC's PC for the Agona West constituency, Paul Ofori Amoah with aiding and abetment of activities of political party vigilantes. He was earlier charged with preparation to commit murder and abetment to commit murder after claims that he allegedly hired thugs to kill the Gender

 

Minister, Cynthia Morrison who’s also the sitting MP for the area. The Police dropped the earlier charges after Paul Ofori Amoah who’s standing trial at a Cape Coast Circuit Court admitted to signing and giving two open cheques to the alleged thugs who he describes as his boys whom he contracted to protect him. Mrs. Morrison

 

 

had made a formal complaint to the police about four men who were arrested at a hotel in Agona Swedru who said they had plotted to kill her. The four identified as Saddick Abubakar, Gordon Kunya, Isaac Addea and Dauda Fatua were cautioned on preparation to commit murder and carrying offensive weapons. The Central Regional Police Command subsequently invited Mr Amoah in connection with the alleged plot.
