Tepa: Police Holds Man Over Wife’s Death

 

 

The Police in Tepa in the Ashanti Region are holding a 35 year old man Awini Baba, over the sudden death of his wife, Mariam Dramani Anaba, 41. The suspect then allegedly assaulted his wife, leading to her demise, at a location within the Jacobu Electoral Area, around 7pm on March 4, 2022.The heartbreaking case was said to

 

have been reported to the police in the Tepa area, who rushed to the scene and found Mariam’s dead body. However, upon a thorough search of the body, the police could not find any mark that suggested violence. Baba was therefore detained to assist them in investigations. Member of Jacobu Electoral Area, and Assemblyman, respectively, are complainants in the case. They came to the station also on the March 5, 2022, about 9am and reported that on March 4, 2022, about 7pm, suspect Awini Baba, 35, assaulted his wife, Mariam Dramani Anaba, 41, now deceased. Police visited the scene of

 

 

crime and saw Mariam Dramani Anaba’s body lying in a supine position, a police report also seen by the paper disclosed. It added that Mariam’s body was inspected but no marks of violence was also found. No foul play suspected, adding that the body was taken to a morgue for autopsy. Meanwhile, the suspect Awini too has been detained to assist investigation, the police report said.
