Two Employees Arrested For Attempted Robbery In Abossey Okai

The Special Support Unit of Ghana Police Service has apprehended two employees of a North Kaneshie-based company for plotting to rob the company during a scheduled cash transfer. The suspects have been identified as Joseph Danso, also known as Nana Yaw, and Fauzan Alhassan. Police in a statement said the suspects were arrested on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, while trailing a dispatch rider who was transporting company funds to a bank at Abossey Okai.
Intelligence gathered revealed that the suspects, along with two other accomplices identified as Frankie and Asante, had conspired to intercept the cash during the transfer. Acting on a tip-off, officers mounted surveillance, which led to the arrest of Danso and Alhassan in the act. During interrogation, the two admitted to their involvement in the plot and named their accomplices, prompting a continued search for the remaining suspects.
The two suspects are currently in police custody and assisting with investigations. Meanwhile, the police have assured that the remaining suspects will be arrested to face justice.
