Family Demands Justice For Final-Year Student Stabbed By Friend

A community situated in Kwahu Tafo is grappling with deep sorrow and shock following the tragic death of 17-year old Kwasi Awuah Gorman, a final-year student at St. Joseph Technical Institute. The young student lost his life in a stabbing incident involving a friend, identified as Stephen, or “Sugar”. The tragic incident allegedly occurred during an altercation reportedly stemming from a money dispute.

The tragedy has left family members and students of St. Joseph Technical Institute heartbroken and urgently calling for justice for the talented young man. Ebenezer Gorman, the grieving brother of Kwasi, expressed the family’s desperate need for immediate and thorough action from authorities. With a heavy heart, he shared the immense pain that had befallen their family. “My little nieces, who witnessed the incident, narrated the whole matter.

According to them, Kwasi was with four of his friends. Suddenly, an altercation ensued over money, and they saw Akwasi hold his neck area and kept screaming that he had been stabbed. They were all students,” he recounted. Ataa Gorman, Kwasi’s sister, also voiced her disbelief and sorrow over the shocking violence.

She mentioned that their family had maintained a peaceful relationship with both boys, making the reason behind such a fatal confrontation all the more confusing. Kwasi Awuah Gorman’s body has been sent to the mortuary for preservation and an autopsy, which is anticipated to yield vital forensic evidence for the ongoing investigation.

In response, law enforcement has promptly arrested the suspect. Stephen, also referred to as “Sugar,” is currently in police custody and cooperating with the investigation into this tragic event. The police are expected to release more details about the circumstances of the fight and the specific charges against the suspect as the investigation unfolds.
