Man Shoots His Wife To Death In Eastern Region

A 35 year old man Samuel Gyekye has allegedly shot his wife to death at Nkronso Abessim in Abuakwa South of the Eastern Region. Public Relations Officer of the Eastern Regional Police Command Sargeant Francis Gomado, Police received information that the suspect has gunned down his wife and gone into hiding . On receipt of the report, police proceeded to the scene and found the body of the deceased lying in a prone position in a pool of blood

with a gunshot wound at the back in a wooden housing structure. He said a locally manufactured single barrel gun loaded with one BB empty cartridge shell was found to have been abandoned at the scene which was retrieved for evidential purpose. The suspect has been arrested. The deceased had a five year-old son with the suspect.
