President John Mahama has submitted a final list of nominees for deputy ministerial positions to Ghana’s Parliament for vetting and approval. The nominations, made under Articles 78(1) and 79(1) of the 1992 Constitution, were formally communicated to the Speaker of Parliament on Wednesday. The appointments form part of the President’s efforts to boost efficiency in government and improve service delivery across key sectors.
The list features Members of Parliament selected to serve in various ministries. They include:
Dorcas Affo Toffey, MP - Deputy Minister for Transport
James Gyakye Quayson, MP - Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs
Mohammed Adam Sukparu, MP - Deputy Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations
Grace Ayensu-Danquah, MP - Deputy Minister for Health
The nominees are expected to appear before the Parliamentary Appointments Committee in the coming days for vetting.
