Somebody in uniform may have ordered the killing of 3 High Court Judges - Rawlings
Jerry John Rawlings

Former President Jerry John Rawlings said somebody in uniform possibly may have given orders to soldiers to kill three the High Court Judges. Three High Court judges, Justice Kwadwo Agyei-Agyepong, Justice

Cecilia Koranteng-Addow and Justice Fred Poku Sarkodee were murdered in cold blood in June 1982  and some people have alleged that the former President was behind the nefarious act.  But speaking

on radio, Mr. Rawlings said “Take a look at the judges for instance, if there is one thing I feel pretty safe about, is that Amartey Quaye had to be saddled with all.” However, “I believe somebody in uniform must have

given that order to the soldiers to do what they did because they wouldn’t have obeyed Amartey Quaye’s order to do so to civilians” Asked whether he signed Amateikwei’s death warrant though he didn’t believe he ordered for the judges killing, Mr Rawlings emphasized that “oh yes, that is not to say he didn’t deserve to die.”

He stressed that “according to the investigations after the trial, we believe some people who murdered the judges just got away with it and still making noise.”  “That is the trouble of this law of ours, when I insist we should use the chemical interrogation, people make fun of it”, he added.
