Texas: Woman Arrested For Killing Roommate By Sitting On Her
Gloria Ann Jordan was charged with manslaughter after she sat on her roommate until she suffocated.

 

 

A Texas woman is facing manslaughter charges after authorities say she sat on her roommate, suffocating her to death. Gloria Ann was arrested on the Tuesday in connection to Gloria Farmer’s death on November 21st. On that fateful day, emergency personnel responded to a home at Las Cruces Lane in Wichita Falls. Gloria Farmer deceased. Initially, they also thought she died from a health situation. However, a third roommate told detectives that Jordan placed her hand on Farmer’s forehead while she was praying. Jordan then pushed Farmer backward in a chair until Farmer, and the chair fell to the ground. During an interview with Police three

 

 

days later, while in hospital for an unspecified medical condition, Jordan confessed that once Farmer was on the floor, she sat on her in a prayer position. She then straddled her roommate’s chest as Farmer then pleaded with her to get up because she could not breathe. An autopsy concluded that Farmer died from mechanical asphyxiation. Her death was ruled a homicide, and a

 

 

warrant was issued for Jordan’s arrest. In addition to the manslaughter charges, the 41 year old is facing additional charges related to a separate assault on the November 25th. Police say Jordan repeatedly slammed a woman’s head into a wall while shouting, I rebuke you in the name of the Lord. Jordan is currently being held in Wichita County Jail. Her bond has also been set at $150,000.
