Titus Glover triumphs in Tema East contest
Delegates of the governing New Patriotic Party in the Tema East Constituency have given the incumbent Member of Parliament for the area, Daniel Nii Titus Glover the green light to lead them again into the 2020
general elections as their parliamentary candidate. Provisional results suggest that Titus Glover polled 522 votes in the NPP’s parliamentary primary held today, Saturday, June 2020. His main rival, Dr. Benjamin Ashittey Armah also trailed behind with 233 votes.
The Tema East contest, which was tipped as one of the hotspots in the Greater Accra Region was held amidst heavy deployment of military, police and national security operatives.
Titus Glover is also a Deputy Minister for Transport. In 2012 Titus Glover was elected to represent the NPP as its candidate in the constituency and won the seat at his first attempt.
