Having Sekou as a son is Kwame Nkrumah’s biggest failure- NDC’s Atubiga

A Staunch member of the main opposition party, the National Democratic Congress( NDC) Stephen Atubiga stated that the biggest failure or disappointment of Kwame Nkrumah, Ghana’s founder, is his having Sekou Nkrumah as a son.

For him Sekou Nkrumah is irresponsible and a serious blot on the reputation of the iconic Kwame Nkrumah. Mr Atubiga’s unflattering comments come after Sekou Nkrumah alleged that the NDC had attempted to bribe him.

“Like the saying goes, most leaders, rich, or presidents always have irresponsible children. The biggest disappointment and failure of late President Nkrumah’s legacy, is having Sekou as his son.

Miscarriage, abortion, or condoms could have sealed all this embarrassment,” he lashed out in a post sighted. Sekou Nkrumah had alleged that the NDC had attempted to bribe him through Bernard Mornah, the current People’s National Convention (PNC) chairman.

Bernard Mornah had joined the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in resisting moves by the Electoral Commission(EC) to compile a new voters’ register,  although his party the People’s National Convention (PNC) had a different stance on the matter.

Reacting to this development in a post on his social media timeline, Sekou Nkrumah asked Ghanaians to see Bernard Mornah as an NDC sidekick who needs not to be listened to and taken seriously because he has been influenced by monies given to him by the NDC.

He said “Bernard Mornah is just an NDC sidekick, no one should listen to him!” Sekou further disclosed how Bernard Mornah took him the late David Lamptey’s house where he was given a bribe but he could not let go of his principles hence his refusal to take the bribe

“Bernard Mornah is just an NDC sidekick, no one should listen to him! Was it not that same shameless character who took me to the late David Lamptey’s house under the pretext that the guy wanted to see me only for me to discover that it was an attempt by the NDC to bribe me.

As a man of integrity and principles, I rejected that “red gym bag” full of cash.” He said. But the NDC Communicator who did not take kindly to the allegations, took Dr Sekou Nkrumah to the cleaners subjecting him to a barrage of insults on social media.
